I dabbled with several couch to 5k programs for years, but actually stuck with running in 2016. In 2017 some friends from work said they were doing the local triathlon and with 2 months to go, I decided to do it and start training. Not knowing what I was doing; I just swam laps in a pool, rode my bike around the neighborhood, and ran my normal routes. Race day came, it wasn’t pretty, but I finished…and was hooked. I kept the same training going after the race to hopefully get better.
In January 2018 I was lucky enough to be accepted into TriDot’s Preseason Project. This was my first experience with structured training and was exactly what I needed. Every workout was meaningful and had a specific purpose, while removing all the junk miles I was doing and also reducing the amount of time training.
TriDot has helped me improve in all 3 disciplines, feel and be competitive in my AG, and stay injury free in the process.
